  1. The ChargeAngels application runs on any Kubernetes enabled Cloud. Communication between the backend and the chargers uses the OCPP 1.6J or 2.0.1 protocol.
  2. It is also possible to collect other kinds of assets by integrating proprietary web services from vendors, such as photovoltaics or energy management systems.

What about security?

EV charging security framework: PKI ecosystem, mobility operator, automaker and charge port operator
  1. We have 3 ways to identify users: RFID badge authentication, a mobile phone, or the exchange of certificates between cars, chargers and eMSPs.
  2. OCPP 2.0.1, currently in production on a few charger brands, incorporates security messages to transmit ISO 15118-2-related X.509 certificates.
  3. Plug&Charge via ISO 15118-2 enables secure authentication and authorization of a charging session simply by plugging in the charging cable: Plug&Charge.
